Tokyo NR prices remain just below $4

London -- Rubber prices remained just under the $4 mark in Tokyo, due to the weakening yen. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed up 1 at yen 334 ($3.99) on 21 March. Shorter-dated prices closed up 2, at 318 on Wednesday evening.
In Singapore, the TSR20 contract on SGX was trading down a cent at $3.78 for September deliveries an hour before the close on Wednesday. April deliveries were unchanged, at $3.74.
In India, NMCE said April deliveries closed up by a rupee, fractionally above Rs 200 ($3.95).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for April closed up by a fraction of a yuan at Yuan 28.8 ($4.55) per kilo on Wednesday.
