ETRMA releases 2011 scrap tyre report
ERJ staff report (DS)
Brussels - ETRMA - The European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers Association - has released the 2011 edition of its End-of-Life Tyre (ELT) Management brochure. The 20-page report is available for download from the ETRMA site and below.
The 2011 edition highlights three main areas which the ETRMA feel are necessary for attention:
- The need for harmonized EU regulatory measures to grant End-of-Waste status for ELT-derived rubber materials and casings suitable for retreading.
- The role of standardization in characterising materials obtained from ELTs
- The virtues of defending and further disseminating the Producer Responsibility model for ELTs in Europe
