Nolato lower sales and profits for 2011

Torekov, Sweden - Nolato AB said sales and profits fell in the 12 months to December 2011, but the results were higher in the final quarter. Net sales for the 12-month period fell to SEK 2977 million (euro 337 million) compared with SEK 3375 million a year earlier.
However, Nolato Industrial's sales rose by 14 percent to SEK 1,129 million (994). Strong demand, advanced market positions and new products contributed to an increase in sales. Excluding currency conversion effects, sales rose by 16 percent.
Nolato Medical saw sales grow to SEK 917 million (previously 808 million), which corresponds to an increase of 13 percent. Organic growth amounted to 7 percent excluding currency conversion effects. The trend in volumes was good for most of the business area's customer segments and the business has developed in line with the growth in the market.
