Dunlop India sales plummet after dispute at Sahaganj
Kolkata, India -- Dunlop India Ltd has reported dramatically lower sales and large losses in the three months to 31 December 2011. The company reported net sales in the period of Rs 14.5 million (euro 225,000) compared with Rs 577 million a year earlier.
Operating profit in the three months fell to a loss of Rs 27 million compared with a profit of Rs 10 million a year ago.
The company said there has been no production at its Sahaganj unit during the quarter, and issued a 'suspension of operations' order at the unit on 8 October 2011
