London -- Rubber prices increased overnight, amid quiet trading due to the New Year holiday. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed up 9 yen at yen 315 ($4.07) per kg on Tuesday 24 January. Shorter-dated prices closed at yen 295.
In Singapore, there was minimal trading due to the Chinese New Year holidays
In India, NMCE said February deliveries eased by Rs3 to close at Rs 192 ($3.84).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for March was unchanged at Yuan 28.2 ($4.47) per kilo.
