MRF net profits jump for 12 months

Mumbai, India -- Indian tyre maker MRF Ltd has reported strong increases in sales and profits for the 12 months to 30 Sept 2011. The company said net sales increased to Rs 97.4 billion (euro 1402 million) from Rs 74.6 billion a year earlier.

Pre-tax profits also jumped, to Rs 8936 million from Rs 5347 a year ago.
