ERJ staff report (DS)
Beijing -- China has increased output of rubber chemicals to 80 million tonnes in 2010, from just 10 million tonnes in 2001. The figures are published in a new report from the China Rubber Industry Association Rubber Additives Professional Committee and the National Engineering Research Center. The document, published on 11 October, focusses on clean and green production of these chamicals.
Li Yongwu of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation wrote the preface for the book. Li Yongwu said the publication of the book will provide important guidance for China's rubber chemicals industry on cleaner production .
A report on the CRIA website said that the current 80 million tonnes output accounts for over half the global output of these materials.
