Bluestar completes South Carolina land acquisition ahead of relocation

East Brunswick, new Jersey -- Bluestar Silicones has anouced the acquisition of property in York, South Carolina, where it will establish its new manufacturing footprint and R&D centre for North America. The new site is expected to be fully transitioned by mid-2012.
Bluestar Silicones will relocate its two US manufacturing facilities currently in Ventura, Calif., and Rock Hill, S.C., to a 226,000 square foot building set on 20 acres in York. The York facility will also become the central R&D center for Bluestar Silicones in North America
The company will produce its full range of silicone technologies in York, including liquid silicone rubbers (LSRs), high consistency rubbers (HCRs), room-temperature vulcanised silicones (RTVs), fluids, dispersions, release coatings, speciality fluids, resins and antifoams, marketed under its Silbione®, Silcolease®, Silcolapse®, Lyndcoat®, Mirasil® and Bluesil® trade names.
