US DoD places tyre contracts worth $65 million

    Washington, DC -- The Defense Logistics Agency, a part of the US Department of Defense, has placed a number of contracts for tyres and other goods.

    The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, was awarded a fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract with a maximum $37,104,838 for aircraft tyres. Other location of performance is Virginia. Using services are Army and Air Force. The date of performance completion is Sept. 13, 2013. The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity (SPM7LX-11-D-0088).

    Michelin North America, Inc., Greenville, S.C., was awarded a fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract with a maximum $28,017,732 for aircraft tyres. Other location of performance is North Carolina. Using services are Army and Air Force. The date of performance completion is Sept. 13, 2013. The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity (SPM7LX-11-D-0089).
