Lewis-Goetz fills Western US gap with Valley acquisition

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Lewis-Goetz and Company, Inc. has acquired Valley Rubber & Gasket Company, Inc. and all related subsidiaries. Valley makes and distributes conveyor belting, hose and sealing products has operations throughout central and northern California as well as locations in Seattle, Washington; Elko, Nevada; and Salt Lake City, Utah. It was previously owned by the 100 or so employees.
In commenting on the acquisition, Jeff Crane, President and CEO of LewisGoetz said, “The Valley locations provide an important piece of the geographic puzzle that we have been working hard to find. While it's nice to be able to say we finally have a significant West Coast presence, it is much more rewarding to know that we are getting more than just dots on a map; we are getting the very best West Coast platform from which we can continue our organic and acquisition growth strategy.
Valley Rubber & Gasket is a distributor and fabricator of industrial rubber and plastic products. The Company was founded in 1981 and started in a small warehouse in Sacramento, California. It specialises in heavy duty and light duty conveyor belt, material handling systems, idlers and conveyor accessories, industrial hose and fittings, hydraulic hose and fittings, soft and metal gaskets, pump packing, and a full array of sealing products and devices.
