RIEG to hold meeting on elastomers in defence

London - The Rubber in Engineering Group (RIEG) of the Polymer Society will hold a technical discussion meeting on the topic of “Elastomers in Defence†on 24 June 2011, the group said in a 27 May press release.
It is an afternoon technical discussion meeting to discuss the use of rubber in the defence industry. The provisional programme features the below speakers:
Mathew Robinson (AWE) "Tailoring the mechanical and thermal properties of PDMS elastomers and foams"
Steve Shaw (DSTL) "Challenges for Defence Applications"
Adrian Vaughan (QinetiQ) "Polymers for underwater acoustics"
Steve Rutland (ARTIS) "TBC"
The event starts at 2pm and is free for members of IOM3 (Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining).
