Conti produces 10 millionth runflat tyre

Hanover / Aachen, Germany. Last Friday (6 May) the 10 millionth tyre with SSR runflat technology was manufactured in Continental's passenger tyre plant in Aachen.

“In recent years here in Aachen, we have specialised more and more on the production of sophisticated, high-quality tyres in accordance with the specifications of vehicle manufacturers”, reports Dirk Weber, manager of the tyre plant.

n the Aachen plant, Conti produces approximately 9 million passenger tyres each year, espacially in the high-performance sector. Conti said the plant is running at full throttle to keep up with the heavy demand.
