JSR appoints American to Japanese committee
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- JSR Corp. has named the first non-Japanese Officer to its Officers Committee. Eric R. Johnson, the current President of the company's US operations, JSR Micro, Inc., has been named as an Officer effective June 17 marking a significant milestone for the 50-year-old company.
Mr. Johnson's placement on the Officers Committee is representative of the company's push to make JSR a truly global company, internally and externally, and of the critical role JSR Micro, Inc. (the US operations) is expected to play in the strategic future of the company.
“For the JSR Group, North America is a strategically crucial market where we are expanding our businesses beyond semiconductor materials,†said Mitsunobu Koshiba, President of JSR Corporation. “JSR has been actively accelerating our internal diversity to support our global vision, and Eric will be a valuable resource to the company as we continue to execute globally and respond to market and cultural diversities.â€
