Nankang raises funds for Japan disaster relief

Taipei, Taiwan -- Nankang Rubber Tire Corp. employees voluntarily raised 2 million Japanese yen (more than $24,000 US dollars) for the Japan Red Cross to earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.
To jumpstart the campaign, Nankang CEO Hu, Wun-Cheng sent a donation of 1 million Japanese yen to the Red Cross.
Inspired by his action, thousands of other employees made their own donations while urging friends and family members to do the same, generating another 1 million yen.
