JSR's Kashima plant won't make EPR before 20 May
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- JSR Corp. said that due to non-availability of raw materials, it will not begin production of ethylene-propylene rubber at its Kashima plant before 20 May. The company said it has partially re-started production of other elastomers at the unit, using raw materials from inventory, but its supplier of raw materials for EP rubber has told JSR that it will not be able to begin shipments before late May.
JSR's Chiba plant is ramping up and the company still expects full production to be resumed later this month.
