Seoul, Korea -- Participation in the ongoing International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers' Annual General Meeting in Seoul is the highest for the world's SR industry trade association in a number of years, according to the group's managing director and CEO.
James L. McGraw said 160 members, spouses and guests are attending the April 11-14 event in Seoul, the first time the organisation has held its annual meeting in that nation. Kumho Petrochemical is the host of the conference, and Chan-Koo Park, the company's chairman and CEO, is presiding as president-international.
Today, the group honored Nobuyuki Takashi of Ube Industries Inc. with its general award, and Akira Saito of Asahi Kasei Chemicals Corp. with the technical award.
The meeting of the world's synthetic rubber producers and affiliates continues through April 14.
