London, Ontario -- Starlim North America Corp., a liquid silicone rubber moulder, had purchased Poly-Nova Technologies Inc., which moulds LSR and runs a 32,300-square-foot plant in Guelph, Ontario, that moulds parts from LSR and custom rubber compounds.
Terms were not disclosed.
The company, renamed Poly-Nova Technologies LP, is now part of the Starlim North America Group. Poly-Nova, which employs about 100 people, serves the North American automotive, appliance and electrical markets. Existing management will continue to operate the company, Starlim said.
Starlim North America is a subsidiary of LSR moulder Starlim-Sterner GmbH of Marchtrenk, Austria. Since it founded in London, Ontario, in 2004, Starlim North America has grown from five LSR injection moulding machines to 35 machines today.
Starlim-Sterner is building a 188,370-square-foot expansion into its headquarters factory in Austria -- enabling the company to add another 120 injection moulding machines there.
