Yokohama raises prices for export tyres

Tokyo - The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., is raising prices for all tyre products for passenger cars, light trucks, trucks and buses, and vehicles for construction and industry, for all markets outside Japan. The company said it hopes the maximum increase will be 15 percent, "but higher prices may be necessary for specific regions or products."
The comapny said the increase is effective from April 2011, and blamed the increase on increased raw material prices.
it added, "Trends in costs of raw materials are uncertain. If current situation continues, further action may be necessary in the future"
