US company enters TPE / TPU compounding business
ERJ staff report (DS)
Barrington, Rhode Island -- Alliance Polymers & Services, LLC (APS) has added TPE compounding to its range of services and sales of TPE and TPU elastomer materials.
APS said in the Spring of 2010 that it was considering expanding into TPE compounding services. This news was coincided with the announcement that APS would be representing the line of Polymax Maxelast TPEs on the North American continent.
Now, APS officials announce the founding of APS Compounding along with the purchase of two twin screw extruders. The move will enable APS Compounding to streamline existing TPE compounds to better accommodate customer needs, provide specialised samples, and/or develop new grades for specific applications. APS is a leading distributor of BASF Elastollan TPUs (thermoplastic polyurethanes) and Polymax Maxelast TPEs (SBC-based thermoplastic elastomers).
