Yokohama prepares for EU tyre labels
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- Yokohama Rubber has said it strongly supports the intentions behind the EU system for tyre information lables and will proactively develop higher grades of tyre products as it encourages the spread of environmentally friendly, safe tyres.
Initiatives are gearing up around the world to spread low fuel-consumption tyres as a means of preventing global warming. Japan launched a voluntary tyre performance grading system in 2010, and the United States, Korea and other countries are moving forward on the creation of similar systems.
