    ERJ staff report (DS)

Vienna -- The Semperit Group achieved a new revenue and earnings record in 2010. Total revenue of the Semperit Group rose by 17.2 percent to EUR 689.4 million in the 2010 financial year. Despite large price rises for the most important raw materials, the company's operating result (EBIT) increased by 18.4 percent to EUR 82.4 million, and the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) also reached an all-time high of EUR 112.3 million (previous year: EUR 102.8 million).

On the basis of ongoing good demand for high quality gloves, the Sempermed division increased its revenue by 16.6 percent to EUR 316.4 million.

The cyclically-dependent Semperflex division focusing on hose production clearly profited from the upturn of the global economy, with revenue up 38.1 percent to EUR 145.5 million.

The Semperform division succeeded in improving revenue by 13.4 percent to EUR 109.4 million.

A slight rise in revenue by 2.8 percent to EUR 118.1 million was generated by the Sempertrans division.
