Bridgestone renews DHL logistics contract in Sweden

Stockholm, Sweden --Bridgestone has renewed its contract with DHL Supply Chain in Jönköping, Sweden. The assignment, valid until 2013, includes warehousing and a number of value-added services such as assembling and studding of tyres.
DHL Supply Chain in Jönköping has handled Bridgestone Europe's warehouse operations for the Swedish market since 1997. At DHL's logistics center â€Ã„delmetallen†in Jönköping, DHL manages the warehousing of tyres for cars, motorcycles, trucks and agriculture machines on 14,000 square meters.
DHL Supply Chain recently launched its â€Tire Initiativeâ€, a new program to create a strong and competitive logistics solution for major tyre manufacturers in Europe. The Tire Initiative focus on strategic efforts to share experience, knowledge and best practice within the DHL Supply Chain tyre segment.
