Alfautomazione claims tyre X-ray unit has 15 second cycle time

Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois -- US / Italian company Alfamation Inc. said its X-Raptor PCR tyre inspection unit offers a smaller footprint, lower energy consumption and faster cycle times.

Already in use by a major tyre manufacturer for Formula 1 cars, which has used the tyre testing machine to standardise its tyres, the X-Raptor can be integrated with production lines or moved to off-site locations for testing batches of tyres.

The unit offers high precision x-ray images (pitch 0,4 mm)
