Myers Tire Supply launches tyre inflation programme

Akron, Ohio - Myers Industries Inc.'s Myers Tire Supply distribution unit has launched the Tire Inflation Maintenance (TIM), a customer-loyalty programme, as part of a nationwide initiative dedicated to improving safety and the environment by promoting regular tyre inflation.
Each month, TIM sends customers newsletters and text messages to encourage them to return to their tyre shop for a tyre-pressure check. Dealers can customise these customer reminders to include service coupons for tyre rotation, oil changes or any other service, Myers said.
Online customer management tools allow dealers to view and sort customer information and access daily reports on customers' vehicles that are due for service. Enrollment in the programme includes initial set-up, online training, website listing, a marketing kit, 50 registration cards and unlimited staff training and support, according to Akron-based Myers.
Participation in the TIM programme also offers customers free membership in the TIM Auto Club, which provides 24/7 towing and roadside assistance for any flat tyre or other tyre-related issue. It also includes free routing service, free trip-interruption coverage and travel benefits.
In addition, Myers has chosen seven-time NASCAR champion Richard Petty as its national spokesman for the TIM programme. Petty will be on hand at a private TIM presentation 3 Nov. at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. Invitations are available from any Myers Tire Supply sales representative or by calling 800-998-9897.
