ERJ staff report (DS)
Hannover, Germany -- ContiTech's vibration control unit and Benecke-Kaliko will both participate in The “Long Night of Industryâ€, an event taking place around Hanover on Thursday, October 7, 2010.
The “Long Night of Industry†(Die lange Nacht der Industrie) was organised on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Sixteen companies located in Hanover and the region - divided up into eight different tours - will be participating in the event, giving each guest the chance to get to know two companies during the course of the evening.
At Benecke-Kaliko, the city's oldest industrial enterprise which was founded in 1718, visitors get to see the different areas of business, the products and their production.
Guests are also invited to view ContiTech's Vibration Control operations in Hanover-Stöcken, where visitors will have the opportunity to visit the company's mixing room.
The Hannover event begins from 17:00 and finishes at 22:30 on Thursday. Other participants include Bahlsen, the biscuit maker and Hannover Airport.
Local chambers of Commerce are running similar events in Hamburg and Bremen later this year.
