Dana upgrades on-board tyre inflation system
ERJ staff report (DS)
Hannover, Germany -- Dana Holding Corp. said it has upgraded its Spicer CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) technology, aimed at vocational and government defence vehicles.
With a press of a button from inside the cab, the system can adjust tyre pressure to suit any terrain. Whether in the desert or at a construction site, Spicer CTIS technology allows maneuverability in soft, sandy soil and other unpaved surfaces.
Available on a wide range of heavy-truck models and configurations, the system can regulate tyre pressures on steer, drive, and trailer axles.
