Benecke-Kaliko enters partnership with Tatsuta
ERJ staff report (DS)
Hannover, Germany -- Benecke-Kaliko, Continental's automotive interior sheeting unit, has strengthened it position in Japan by signing a technological cooperation programme with Tokyo-based Tatsuta Chemical Co. Ltd.
“This allows us to reduce development times with Japanese automotive manufacturers all around the world and acquire a new portion of the market,†said Benecke-Kaliko AG ceo, Dirk Leiß, explaining the main reasons for the cooperation.
“We will approach future projects together. This gives our customers extra value, as they only require one contact person for all interior materials,†said Leiß. “In addition to this our plants in Europe, Mexico and China mean that we have a truly global presence,†he added.
The Tatsuta Chemical Co. Ltd. has around 120 employees worldwide. Benecke-Kaliko has a workforce of around 1400 and posted sales of Euro 246 million in 2009.
