Northbrook Illinois -- US seal maker IDEX Corp. has acquired Seals Ltd of the UK. Seals Ltd comprises Polymer Engineering and Perlast divisions, based in Blackburn UK.

Seals has annual revenues of approximately £21 million. Seals will operate within IDEX's Health and Science Technologies segment and was acquired with a cash consideration of approximately £35 million.

Polymer Engineering division focuses on sealing solutions for hazardous duty applications. The Perlast division produces highly engineered seals for analytical instrumentation, pharmaceutical, electronics, and food applications. Perlast and Polymer Engineering are acknowledged leaders in the handling of a wide variety of aggressive media and micro-fluidic sealing applications.
