IISRP elects Kumho's Park as president

Dubai, United Arab Emirates -- Chan-Koo Park, chairman and CEO of the Kumho Asiana Group, has been elected prresident international of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers 2010-2011.
Park, who will preside over the group's Annual General Meeting next year in South Korea, was elected at the IISRP conference in Dubai. He succeeds Bruno Pary, senior adviser at ExxonMobil Middle East and Africa, who now becomes the past-president international, the IISRP said.
Park also will serve as president to the Far Eastern Section. The other 11 members elected to the Institute Executive Committee are:
*Far East Section: Koichi Kawasaki of Japan Synthetic Rubber, vice president; Nobuyuki Takahashi, UBE Industries, standing member.
* European Section: Sim Elman, Synthos, president; Antonio Protopapa, Polimeri Europa, vice president; Abraham Brink, Karbochem, standing member.
* Americas Section: Felipe Varela, Negromex, president; Ken Hertl, Goodyear Chemical, vice president; Tim Gorman, ISP Elastomers, standing member.
Continuing to serve on the Executive Committee are Pary ,Wei-Hua Tu of TSRC as treasurer, and James L. McGraw, IISRP managing director and CEO, assistant treasurer and secretary.
