Shandong Linglong expects exports to reach $750 million in 2009

Shandong, China -- The Linglong rand of tyres has been recognised by a series of State and Provincial officials as a significant exporter.

The company said on its website that annual export volume reached US $650 million in 2008 and expects to report exports of $750 million in 2009.

Linglong said exports represent around 70 percent of total turnover and roughly 60 percent of allexports go to Europe and the USA

The company says it covers an area of 2.4 million m², construction area of 800000 m² and has 8000 employees and 1600 technicians. The main products are cross-ply tyre, passenger car and light truck radials, steel heavy radials, and specialityres The annual output of cross-ply tyres is 4 million sets, passenger car and light truck radial 9 million sets, heavy radial 3 million sets, and special tyre 50000 sets.

In the next few years, said the copany, "we will deepen our enterprise reform, enlarge operation scale and try to realise the “1321” project, that is, 10000 staff, 30 million sets of tyre, RMB 20,000 million sales income and be the world class tyre manufacturer in both management and technology."
