Goodyear names vice president of off-highway business

Akron, Ohio -- Goodyear has named Pierre Jambon vice president of its off-highway tyre business, replacing John Cavanaugh, who was promoted to vice president of finance for global procurement.
Jambon, who joined Goodyear in December 2003, most recently served as general manager, global aviation. In that role he was responsible for the development, manufacture and marketing of aviation tyres used in OE, replacement and military applications.
Cavanaugh joined Goodyear in July 2003 as director, financial strategy, and served in the role for seven months before he was named assistant treasurer. He went on to hold positions as financial director of the company's off-highway business, director of racing operations and financial director, commercial tyre systems, North American Tire unit.
Prior to joining Goodyear, Cavanaugh worked for Visteon Corp. and Kmart Corp. in various financial capacities, Goodyear said.
