China to sell 30 000 tonnes of low-grade rubber
ERJ staff report (DS)
Beijing -- China's National Development and Reform Commission has said it intends to auction 30 000 tonnes of rubber from the State reserve. The sale will take place on 14 April in Beijing.
The material has been in storage for some time. A small amount of Hainan rubber has been stored in Mongolia since 1990, though other lots are more recent. The majority has been stored for around a decade, though some has suffered water damage during its period in storage.
Of the total, 28327 tonnes is ribbed smoked sheet -- almost all RSS3 sourced from Thailand -- and the remainder is technically-specified rubber -- mostly TSR-20 from Malaysia and Indonesia.
