Lanxess raises prices for chloroprene rubber

Leverkusen, Germany -- Lanxess AG is increasing prices for CR (chloroprene rubber) globally effective April 1, 2010. Dependent on regions, prices will rise by up to EUR 300/USD 400 for CR.
Lanxess said the increase is to compensate for higher raw materials costs.
Lanxess sellls CR under the name Baypren. The material is used in cable sheathings, hoses, belts and air springs.
