Bridgestone raises tyre prices in Europe
ERJ staff report (DS)
Brussels -- Bridgestone Europe NV/SA has announced that it will increase prices on all tyres beginning on April 1st 2010, in response to the continuously escalating cost of raw materials, most notably natural rubber.
The price increases, which will vary by product category & market, will be in the range of 3% to 5%.
According to Gerry Duffy, Vice President Sales & Marketing of Bridgestone Europe, “While we are making intense efforts to mitigate the impact of raw material cost increases, regrettably we have no option but to reflect a portion of the cost increase in the tyre price.â€
