Findlay, Ohio -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s four US tyre factories have received ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification, and two of them gained IS0 14001 environmental management system certification.
Cooper's plants in Findlay, Texarkana, Arkansas; Albany, Georgia; and Tupelo, Mississippi, now are ISO 9001:2000 certified. The latter two plants also received the ISO 14001 certification.
ISO 9000 requires companies set in place procedures for monitoring and continually improving key business processes and products. The ISO 14001 standard specifies requirements for a facility's environmental management system.
