NR prices continue to fall

Tokyo -- Natural rubber prices closed at Yen 246.3 ($2.33)/kg on the Tokyo exchange today (Thursday). Prices hit the contract lower limit earlier in the day and then recovered slightly.
It was the same story in Singapore, where prices have fallen roughly seven percent in the last three weeks. On 7 September the price of RSS1 was around 425 cents/kilo, today it is barely above 390. On the Sicom exchange, TSR20 for delivery in September 2009 was trading around $2.30/kg.
it was the same story in India, where RSS4 fell by 10 percent overnight to Rs110/kg ($2.35). This compares with the records of Rs 140 paid in early September.
