ADAC publishes results of winter tyre tests

Munich, germany -- ADAC, the influential German motorists' association, has published results of its annual winter tyre tests. The group tested winter- and all-season tyres in two sizes: 175/65R14T and 195/65R15T.
in the smaller size, the organisation put four tyres in the 'specially recommended' section. Two are from the Goodyear-Dunlop stable, one from Continental and one from Vredestein. These top-rated tyres are the Vredestein Snowtrac 3; Continental WinterContact TS800; Goodyear UltraGrip 7+; Dunlop SP Winter Response. A further ten tyres fell into the 'recommended' category.
The only Chinese tyre in the test, Linglong Winter-Hero Radial 652, was in the lowest category: 'not recommended', alongside the Gislaved Euro*Frost 3; the Maxxis Presa Snow Wintermaxx; the Tigar Winter 1 and the Ceat Artic III.
In the larger tyre sizes (195/65 R 15 T), Goodyear-Dunlop and Conti again got top honours, this time alongside Pirelli. The top category included four tyres: Goodyear UltraGrip 7+; Continental WinterContact TS830; Pirelli Winter 190 Snowcontrol; and the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D.
The three tyres in the bottom category ("not recommended") were all imports, the Nankang Snow Viva SV-1; the Marshal I'ZEN KW15and the Wanli Winter - Challenger S1086.
