Hanover, Germany -- Continental AG has been named an official sponsor for the qualifying round of South Africa's 2010 FIFA World Cup professional soccer tournament.
As part of the package, Conti's logo will appear on stadium billboards during more than 170 matches that will be played in Europe.
â€œThis sponsorship package will help us to boost brand awareness for Continental's premium tires in our core market through to the start of the next football World Cup in summer 2010,â€ said Alan Hippe, deputy chairman of Hanover-based Conti's executive board.
