BASF hiking kaolin prices in Asia, Middle East
Charlotte, North Carolina -- BASF Corp. is increasing the prices of all kaolin products it makes in Georgia and exports to Asia and the Middle East, as of July 1 or when contracts allow.
The company said the escalation of ocean freight costs, as well as energy, chemicals and mining expenses, prompted the increase. The firm didn't disclose the size of the price hike.
