ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- Natural Rubber prices on Tokyo's Tocom exchange jumped through the Yen 300 barrier to around Yen 308/kg earlier today.
The benchmark 6-month contract closed at Yen 308.1 ($2.94) / kg. after hitting an intra-day high of 308.9. That was the highest price since 6 March this year. Reuters said the increase was driven by the record price of oil.
In Singapore RSS3 was trading at around $2.89, while in India the NMCE contract for May delivery rose to Rs121 ($ 2.95)/kg.
