Goodyear to raise US consumer tyre price by up to 8 percent
Akron, Ohio - Goodyear will increase prices on all brands of its passenger and light truck tyres by up to 8 percent effective 1 June, said a company spokesman.
The Akron-based tyre manufacturer cited escalating raw material, transportation and other costs as the primary reason for the increase, which affects consumers in both the US and Canada.
Goodyear last raised prices on consumer tyres in North America on 1 Feb, by up to 7 percent.
