Benecke-Kaliko adds silicone embossing unit at Hanover plant
ERJ staff report (RD)
Hanover, Germany - The Benecke-Kaliko group, a company of ContiTech AG, has invested Euro 1.4 million in setting up a new silicone embossing roller production facility at its Hanover factory.
With the new facility, automated processes are possible, which previously could only be done by hand, thus improving the standard. Instead of elaborate provision logistics, workers in the new lift warehouse can get the roller they want at the push of a button, says Benecke.
Thanks to a unique combination of laser technology and silicone embossing rollers, Benecke claims to offer customers unlimited possibilities for variation and design latitude in the passenger compartment of vehicles. The rollers manufactured in the new plant give the surface of the automotive manufacturers their individual grain structures familiar to drivers on instrument panels and door trims.
“With this move, we have expanded our competitive edge further and can now cater more flexibly to the wishes of our customers,†explains Dr. Dirk Leib, chairman of the executive board. He added, “The investment creates additional production capacity and is a major step towards safeguarding the Hanover location.â€
