TST adds (a few) more details on OTR tyre building machine
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tianjin, China -- Further to reports last week that Tianjin Saixiang Technology has built a unistage tyre building machine for large off-road tyres, the company's Business Development Manager, Kent Pun told ERJ that the machine is aimed primarily at manufacturers of OTR mining tyres.
He added that the unistage process can make tyres on a faster build cycle and offers better uniformity than two-stage systems.
The company did not elaborate on the meaning of 'closed loop control' nor did it indicate how much the unit might cost or the delivery time. Punt declined to name the first customer for the machine or whether the company has more orders on its books.
