Conti may sell fuel supply business
Hanover, Germany (Reuters) -- German auto parts giant Continental AG is considering a disposal of its Fuel Supply Systems business, sources familiar with the situation said today.
"Conti wants to sell the operations but only at a reasonable price," one person said.
Roughly 3500 employees worldwide work for Fuel Supply Systems, with 900 alone located in the German industrial city of Dortmund.
Continental is in the middle of a massive restructuring plan that will last through the end of next year, as it attempts to successfully integrate its acquisition of Siemens VDO.
A spokesman for Continental declined to comment.
