Quabaug introduces dual-layer bonded pads for horse hooves
ERJ staff report (SS)
Lexington, Kentucky -- Quabaug Corp., a manufacturer of soling for footwear, has released a range of Vibram hoof pads for the protection of horse hooves.
The pads are made by bonding two layers of resilient vibram rubber together, with the firmer black layer faceing the shoe to provide support against pad extrusion and a base that contributes to nail holding power, and the softer tan layer facing the hoof to act as a shock absorber and provide resistance to wear and abrasion, said Quabaug, in a 29 Feb statement.
