Denka to fight EU chloroprene fine
ERJ staff report (DS)
Tokyo -- Denki Kagaku Kogyo has said it intends to file a lawsuit seeking to nullify the Euro 47 million fine imposed upon it by the EU in December. The company has issued a press statement in the Japanese language saying the deadline for such procedures is 5 February, and Denko intends to file its suit before that date.
On 5 December, the EU issued fines totalling Euro 243 million to Denko and other makers of polychloroprene, having found them guilty of participating in an illegal price-fixing cartel.
