Michelin US exec elected to energy firm's board
Columbia, South Carolina -- Scana Corp., a Columbia-based energy provider, has elected James Micali, chairman and president of Michelin North America Inc. (MNA), to its board of directors.
Mr. Micali joined Michelin in 1977, holding several positions in the company including general counsel and secretary for MNA and executive vice president of North American legal and finance functions. He was appointed chairman and president in 1996.
Mr. Micali was also named a member of the Michelin Group Executive Council in 2001, and was chairman of the board of the Rubber Manufacturers Association in 2002.
Mr. Micali's seat on the SCANA board is a newly created post. SCANA has holdings in electronic and natural gas utilities and other energy-related businesses.
