Trelleborg Rubore to consolidate NA testing operations in Michigan
ERJ staff report (SS) Northville, Michigan -- Trelleborg Rubore, part of Trelleborg Automotive, will consolidate all of its North American testing and commercial operations at a facility in Northville, Michigan.
The new engineering and technical centre, which is 48 414 ft2, is designed to “meet the expanding needs of Trelleborg Rubore's customers†and will consolidate the company's testing, operations and commercial management resources. The relocation will be completed by summer 2008, said Trelleborg, in a 19 Dec statement.
“Our objective is to continue to provide exceptional service to our growing automotive customer base,†said Percy Josefsson, managing director, Trelleborg Rubore AB.
“This new state-of-the-art technical centre will provide leading-edge test services and advanced solutions, and will make it easier for customers to interact under one roof with our product and test experts. We will be able to better understand and see first hand the immediate challenges they face as they develop specific products,†he added.
The centre will offer a variety of services, including component and chassis testing, customer focused product development, durability testing and quick prototyping, along with CAD and FEA services.
Trelleborg Rubore develops laminate materials for noise and vibration damping solutions for the automotive, industrial, electronic, and building industries.
