Rubber forum scheduled for 7 November at Burton College, UK
Burton, UK -Â A rubber forum on the subject of Processing of elastomers is scheduled for Wed. 7 November at Burton College - Lichfield St., Burton upon Trent in the UK.
The event is being co-organised by the Midlands plastics and rubber group of the IOM3 and Burton College, School of Engineering & Manufacturing.
The event opens at 10:00 with registration and coffee. The first paper, 'Advances in Mixing Technology' by Dr Saadi Ghafouri, Process technology manager, Farrel Ltd. Rochdale UK beginning at 10:35. Other papers include
'Recent developments in twin screw extrusion technology' by Alan Swanborough & Andy Baker, Thermo-Fisher
'Increased economics of horizontal rubber injection moulding machines by means of implementing the rapid cure technology and 2 - platen clamp' by Manfred Arning, LWB Steinl. Altdorf, Germany
'Uses for recycled rubber - case studies' by Steve Weston, COSTdown Consultancy
'Why do adhesives stick?' by Dr John Comyn, IPTME, Loughborough University
The event is scheduled to close at around 16:00 after questions.
The seminar will cost £40 including lunch and teaa and coffee. Students and members of the IOM3 receive a discount
