Goodyear names chief procurement officer
Akron, Ohio - Goodyear has named Mark Purtilar chief procurement officer, replacing Gary Miller, who is retiring.
The change takes effect 17 Sept, the Akron-based tyre maker said in a 11 Sept statement. Miller has worked for Goodyear for 40 years.
In the post, Purtilar will oversee the firm's global procurement strategy and be responsible for about $1000 million (€722 million) in annual purchases. He most recently served as vice president of global procurement for commercial vehicle systems for ArvinMeritor Automotive Inc.
